Peer Review Policy

The International Journal of Pharmacy, Medical and Biological Research (IJPMBR) follows a rigorous, transparent, and double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, credibility, and impartiality of all published research. The peer review system is designed to maintain the highest academic and ethical standards.

Submission

Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system only.

Initial Editorial Assessment

Upon submission, the editorial office conducts an initial screening to verify:

  • Compliance with journal guidelines
  • Relevance to the journal’s aims and scope
  • Basic scientific quality and originality

Manuscripts failing to meet these criteria may be desk rejected.

Double-Blind Peer Review
  • Reviewer Assignment: Each manuscript is assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers with relevant subject expertise.
  • Anonymity: Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other throughout the review process, ensuring an unbiased and fair evaluation.
Peer Review Evaluation

Reviewers assess manuscripts based on:

  • Originality and novelty
  • Scientific methodology and data analysis
  • Significance and contribution to the field
  • Clarity of presentation and organization
Reviewer Recommendations

Based on reviewer comments, manuscripts may receive one of the following recommendations:

  • Acceptance
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Rejection
Editorial Decision

The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief, considering reviewer feedback and editorial judgment:

  • Accepted for publication
  • Accepted with minor revisions
  • Revision required (major)
  • Rejected
Author Revisions

Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to reviewer and editorial comments and resubmit within the specified time frame.

Final Review

Revised manuscripts undergo a final evaluation to confirm that all required revisions have been satisfactorily addressed.

Publication

Accepted manuscripts are published in the next available issue of the journal.

Post-Publication Engagement

Authors are encouraged to actively engage with the academic community by responding to queries, discussing findings, and contributing to scholarly dialogue following publication.

Publication Ethics and Plagiarism Policy

The International Journal of Pharmacy, Medical and Biological Research (IJPMBR) strictly adheres to ethical publishing practices and maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism.

  • All submitted manuscripts must be original and properly referenced.
  • Authors are responsible for obtaining permissions for copyrighted materials, including figures, tables, and illustrations.
  • Every manuscript is screened using plagiarism detection software prior to review.

Plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or any form of unethical behavior is unacceptable and may result in:

  • Immediate rejection at any stage of review
  • Withdrawal or retraction of published articles
  • Notification to authors’ institutions, if necessary

A declaration of originality must be submitted with the final manuscript. Failure to comply will result in rejection.

To address cases of research misconduct, IJPMBR strictly follows the guidelines issued by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
